The Lake District Foundation funds effective and evidence-based projects that share our goal that the Lake District and Cumbria will be an inspirational example of sustainable development in action, and a place where a prosperous economy, world-class visitor experiences and vibrant communities come together to sustain its spectacular landscape, wildlife and cultural heritage.

Our latest call for applications opened on Monday 1st February 2021 at 9am, and will close on Monday 1st March at 5pm.

• Grants of up to £500 are available
• We want to support community and volunteer-led groups that deliver practical conservation in Cumbria
• Funds can be used to help groups to prepare to be able to continue when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted
• All applications that meet the criteria will be reviewed by the grants panel
• Shortlisted applicants may be invited to talk to the panel and discuss their project further via phonecall or videocall
