Thank you for your interest in the Lake District Foundation at this time. We want to keep you updated with information about how we are responding to the coronavirus situation. In order to safeguard the longevity of the charity, we are reducing some of our activities for now. Our offices are closed and our staff are working from home, but you can contact us by email, please bear with us as we try to respond as quickly as possible.
The Lake District Foundation will continue to work to look after the Lake District and our natural world. Our climate emergency doesn’t go away and we will keep working on this in the background. We are working with the tourism industry to ensure that we are doing all that we can to recover as quickly and sustainably as possible.
In the meantime, let’s take care of ourselves, and each other. Please follow the NHS advice and check up on the most vulnerable in our communities if you can. If you are able, consider volunteering with the NHS https://www.goodsamapp.org/NHS
If you would like to support the Lake District Foundation and the work that we do to care for our landscapes, wildlife and cultural heritage, here are the ways that you can help right now:
Our connection to our planet is clearer than ever, and the only certainty is that our actions can make a difference, if we all work together.
