Nurture Tourism is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Lake District Foundation.

It’s directors are Sarah Swindley and Peter Hensman.

Any profits or surplus made from commercial activity are gifted back to the core charity.

What we do

We provide consultancy work and support across the country to a wide range of projects.
This generally has a focus on conservation, access, tourism and communities.
We also have experience of working across systems and partners to build relationships.
We look to support those looking after the natural world to engage with a range of voices to understand the best approach.
This allows us to share our learning from the Lake District and beyond, and it also enables us to learn from other areas.

We work with a range of partners to deliver this work including academics, film makers and researchers.
